Delicious insecticide/pesticide/fungicide free Hass avocados. These buckos are produced by a conscious permie family in Hampton, about 5 minutes from our plot.
Left on the tree to enable the fruit to really develop, these avocados are creamy and absolutely delicious.
No spray touches your avos and they get no fungicide treatment after harvest. The only chem used near these avos is spot applications of roundup to stop the weeds and the grass overtaking the trees (they’re working towards allowing the canopy to develop to allow the trees to do their thang and suppress their own weeds/create their own moist microclimate, thus eliminating irrigation and herbicide usage, pretty cool stuff).
We harvest these fresh, so when you get the avos they will most likely need some more time to ripen. Best way we’ve found to do it is to leave a couple on the bench to ripen, and the rest in the fridge to keep. Then as the ones on the bench start to get soft and ready for eating, take out more from the fridge and you’ve got constant supply of the goods.
Avos are high in good fats, fibre, enzymes, vitamins E, C and B6, potassium, magnesium and folate. These are truly delicious avos, get amongst it.
